Rather, by assigning our needs to a layer of responsive technologies, we should have the opportunity to engage in more human activities, like creativity, society, and thriving as a species.

of Dystopia

It's far too easy to see the sci-fi outcomes of advancing our technological progress, especially with novel concepts like AI and CRISPr. It's much more productive to see where the slippery slopes begin. The outcomes that are still remarkably uncomfortable, but just within livable conditions. I call these best case dystopias.

With Technology

True Technological Edenism would involve creating tools that are so responsive to our physiological and subconscious needs they take on the work of self-concern normally held by portions of our own minds. To allow the most basic struggles of life to remain outsource to automation frees our mind to higher ambitions or simply just to engage in peaceful quite. I call this concept and related projects "Alter Ego".
